Friends of the Night PeopleFONP Mission: To heighten public understanding of poverty & homelessness, and provide basic & essential support services.
STORY Meals at the main location at 394 Hudson St. are served from 5-7pm daily. On major holidays, the meals are served from Noon-1pm. Clothing is given out Mondays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon. The general medical and podiatry clinics are the first, third & fourth Tuesday of every month and fourth Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. The eye clinic is available by appointment only. AA meetings are Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 5:30 p.m. and Tuesday and Friday at 8 p.m. Donations are accepted daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The food pantry is open Tuesdays from 7 to 9 p.m. (you may wish to call ahead to be sure someone is available) Urban Diner by Friends of Night People, 385 Paderewski Drive, serves a meal from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Meal Time by Friends of Night People is from from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at The Salvation Army, 21 Westminster Ave, Tuesdays and Thursdays. |
